After the success of Micromax Funbook, Micromax has come forward with their new advanced tablet called Micromax Funbook Pro. The tablet PC is little more expensive than old Micromax Funbook and they have added some good new features to Micromax Funbook Pro and is the reason for its higher price tag. Micromax Funbook Pro has already been released in India and also Micromax has not halted the production of old Funbook and hence Micromax Funbook Pro will be sold in India along with its ancestor.
Micromax Funbook Pro- hardware specifications
The most important change of Micromax Funbook Pro from its ancestor is its display size. Micromax has extended their display size from 7 inch to 10.1 inch in new Micromax Funbook Pro and the display quality is much better compared to old Funbook. They have also doubled the RAM to 1 GB and internal storage to 8 GB which is a definite proof that the Funbook Pro will be much faster than old Funbook. But the processor looks to be same and Funbook Pro is having the same 1.2 GHz processor. Similar to its ancestor the Funbook only contains a single camera for both video call and photographs and the camera is a VGA camera. Besides 8GB internal memory Micromax Funbook Pro also supports external memory cards and the maximum supported size is 32 GB. It does not contain inbuilt 3G support but you can use dongles for 3G support. The Funbook Pro also comes with free TATA Docomo Photon Plus data card. The battery of Micromax Funbook Pro is 5500 mAH which is much better than the older one.
Micromax Funbook Pro- software specifications
The same Android 4.0.3 ICS OS comes with Micromax Funbook Pro. Micromax is registered with Google Play and hence you can download millions of apps from app store and does not effect compatibility issue as Karbonn Smart Tab 1. In addition to this Micromax has provided many edutainment apps powered by Vriti and also live TV powered by Zenga TV .
How to buy Micromax Funbook Pro in India
Micromax Funbook Pro just appears in their official websites and you cannot buy Micromax Funbook Pro from local dealers at present. It is expected that Micromax Funbook Pro will reach into dealers in coming months. In meanwhile Snap Deal online website is providing Micromax Funbook Pro with a price of Rs. 9,990 in India. Also Flip Kart have listed the tablet in coming soon category.

ReplyDeleteMy funbook pro worked for 2 days only, now i get white screen refusing to boot up. Service centres do not have OS to be reloaded... left with a junk that costs 10000 bugs... poor service....

DeleteI don't know the life time of Funbook Pro battery with dongle. Usually Dongle doesn't eats much power and don't bother about the power taken by dongle with the Funbook Pro.
