Intex Aqua 4.0 Specifications and Price in India- First Android Phone from Intex

I think Indians are familiar with the Intex brand. They are familiar for computer accessories and affordable mobile phones. Now Intex is entering into the Android smartphone market through Intex Aqua 4.0. I think they are concentrating on budget smartphones because the Aqua 4.0 comes with a cheap price. Also Sanjay Kumar, GM of Intex technologies have also mentioned that they are mainly concentrating youngsters in small cities and towns who are searching for budget smartphones. He also added that Intex will release five more smartphones in coming months.

The smartphone comes with a medium ranged display having a size of 3.5 inch. Intex Aqua is powered by 800 MHz processor and the RAM of the smartphone is still unknown. You can take photographs using Intex Aqua 4.0 3MP camera and video calls will be supported by 0.3 MP camera. The internal memory of the Aqua 4.0 is not promising which is having a 131 MB capacity but users can expand their memory using 32 GB memory cards. 3G is also supported by the smartphone having a maximum speed of 7.2 Mbps on HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps on HSUPA. Other connectivity option is Bluetooth. WiFi is not available for the smartphone. The battery is 1,400 mAh having a 3 hours of talktime and 140 hours of standby time. Another interesting feature of Intex Aqua 4.0 is its capability to handle two SIM which every Indians love to find on their phone. Recently iBall has also released a dual SIM Android smartphone called iBall Andi 5C.

Unfortunately Intex Aqua 4.0 doesn't get ICS OS and the smartphone comes with 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. Besides English, Aqua 4.0 also supports Hindi language. The preloaded apps are Gmail, Flipkart, Facebook, India Rail, Google Maps, Nimbuzz, Skype and YouTube.

Intex Aqua 4.0 comes  with an affordable price of Rs. 5,490 in India. The smartphone is available in 15,000 plus distributors, all major mobile showrooms and reseller outlets.
